I was first introduced to Reiki in 2010.
I was stressed, overworked, + completely disconnected from who I was. I was suffering physical side effects as a result of my lifestyle in the form of aggressive eczema + anxiety + I'd come to the end of the road with my GP.
A friend recommended I try Reiki as a form of relaxation + stress release. I couldn't quite grasp what energy healing meant but I was at the point where I would try anything.
As soon as the session started I felt a deep sensation of peace. I fully let go. I felt safe + I had a knowing that what I was experiencing was 'just right'.
That session was the beginning of my healing. It put everything into perspective + I was able to come away with some semblance of how I needed to move forwards.
I can't put into words exactly what happened, or how it changed me, it just had a profound effect on me + my life moving forwards. So much of an effect that I decided to initiate into Reiki + become a healer myself.
My clients often ask me what it's like before their first session, + still I find it hard to put into words. All I can say is that if you trust that you've stumbled across it for a reason, then Reiki will work wonders for you.
What Is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing practice based on the principle that within everything and everyone is ENERGY.
Take the brain for example. The hub of the human form. The brain sends information to the rest of our body using electrical pulses. That is just one of many examples of energy existing in and around our bodies.
Energy has to continually be cleansed and released in order for us to be able to remain balanced and healthy.
There are times in everyone’s lives when our energy is out of whack. This imbalance can make us feel drained, stressed, emotional, confused, in pain, or unable to sleep.
Reiki can restore a greater sense of balance in our lives.
Reiki can heal.
Balanced energy helps us feel happy, at ease, energetic, motivated and in general, healthier.
It’s a pretty amazing and actually, very simple practice.

What Happens During A Session?
It’s simple. You just lie down, relax and allow the practitioner’s hands to be lain on various energy points on your body. Reiki flows to the areas of need, supporting the body’s natural ability to balance itself.
No clothing needs to be removed and no effort nor concentration need be made by the client.
Each person will experience Reiki in a unique way, frequently feeling a general sense of deep relaxation and contemplation, sometimes a sensation of heat or tingling – people often fall asleep during treatments.
I incorporate my experience as a life coach into my Reiki treatments, allowing my clients to fully explore why they have been drawn into having a session + what they have taken away from it.
A treatment lasts around 60 mins with a short coaching session before and after.
£70 (60mins) including consultation.
